'Tis the season

Kate Townsend-Simpson photographed by Max Kim-Bee for Brides
As the weather starts to get warmer and the trees begin to blossom, it feels like love is in the air :) A few of my good friends just got engaged this week (congrats Elana + Bret and Amanda + Alex!!) and I myself am heading to a wedding in Jamaica next weekend! While pondering what to wear in 95 degree weather (no complaints!) I was reminded of an old story from Brides magazine featuring my former boss at domino, Kate Townsend-Simpson! I remember we were sitting in the office one day chatting, and she mentioned that her wedding was published, so I ran back to my desk and googled it and my jaw dropped when I found it. Wow! Kate looks stunning.
For more photos and close-up detail shots, be sure to check out the full story here. As for me, although I'm years away from even thinking about marriage, I couldn't help but fall in love with this dress from J. Crew! I spotted it tonight while searching for something to wear next weekend, and found myself wishing I could dance around in it the whole night instead ;) (dear j. crew, please keep this dress in stock forever. sincerely, michelle.)

That dress is so pretty. I loved planning my wedding so any time I get to oh and ah of other people's pictures I jump at the chance. Thanks for giving us the heads-up on Kate's wedding. The pics look amazing!

I'm years away from marriage and am very happy with that fact, but I still absolutely love to swoon over wedding details and dresses.

I had the privledge and the pleasure of wearing my Mom's wedding dress for my own wedding!

Platinum satin...and the same back button detail as the J. Crew dress!! This post was a nice reminder!!!

I just posted about weddings too...and noticed that many other people have been doing so as well....is it wedding season? I thought wedding season was a myth from wedding crashers. Meep!

That dress! I DIE!

I think it'd even be lovely in another color...

I love that wedding dress also! I think you could cut it short and die it and wear it to any summer wedding anywhere forever!

I did order, but ended up returning a wedding dress from J. Crew, the fit was very unflattering and it did not look like it shoudl have costed $2200.

Just an FYI.

I think it's brilliant J. Crew started doing wedding dresses. I find them so simple and beautiful and perfect compared with traditional bridal boutique fare.

Hey, Pretty bride! Many congratulations to you. Looking for one of the centrally located LA event venues for my nephew's baptism party. Have already thought of a cute name for the little one. Will decorate the venue with ribbons and balloons. Ordered a toy cake and colorful cupcakes too. Hope the new parents are surprised seeing all wonderful preparations.
