In an act of procrastination tonight, I started digging through some old inspiration folders and was so excited to find this image above from Cookie! I used to have it pinned up on my inspiration board at domino and had since lost it in a folder under my bed. It was shot in Mexico at the One&Only Pamilla resort, and the fabric itself is called Otomi, as it is hand embroidered by Mexican Otomi Indians. Sometimes it is also referred to as colcha fabric. Thanks to Jacaranda Home, you no longer need to travel to Mexico to buy some for yourself! The site offers fabrics and table runners in an assortment of fresh summer colors.
Here's some more examples of these gorgeous fabrics in use! (Remember these images from domino, June 2006?)

that last picture makes me crave a glass of sangria!
I also saw some very similar textiles at Roberta Roller Rabbit in NYC. It's Roberta Freyman's home design shop on Lexington.
Michelle -- everyone will bless you for putting this together in such an organized way! I get email requests for sources all the time. Remember when the headboard generated such a big discussion on design sponge? There's been so much confusion about where to buy the colchas.
Congrats again on the website!

Great fabric. Love it. Enjoyed exploring your blog. I'm adding you to my blog roll right now...
This lovely fabric is gaining on Suzanis in terms of how often I'm seeing it. I think the first time was in O At Home as a tablecloth at the home of an actress. I predict PB and West Elm will be carrying some version of it soon.
